Do you dread having to balance your food on your knees every time you sit down for a meal on your camping trips. It’s very difficult to use your knife and fork when you’re trying to keep your food on the plate. It’s a dead set certainty that a lot of your food will probably find it’s way to the ground. Your camping comfort can be increased tremendously simply by making sure you pack a folding camping table. It’s a good idea to take one even if you know there are tables at the park you are going to. You have to get up pretty early to get a table at some of the more popular areas. There are some models of table that have the seats attached which fold out when you unfold the table. These tables are great for the kids but may be a bit on the small size for large adults. Make sure you check the quality as many are cheaply made and have a tendency to collapse on you.

You should choose the material your table is made from carefully. Aluminum is an excellent material for more than one reason. Aluminum is tough and durable so your table should last for many years. You will also find cleaning it to be less of a chore. One often overlooked factor is whether or not you’re going to be cooking on your table. A lot of the time you will find yourself waiting for opening for a barbecue but with a gas camping stove you’re covered. Aluminum is great for this as well as it won’t burn or mark.

An interesting development in camping tables is the roll up table. This excellent camping accessory rolls up neatly and fits into a shoulder bag. It’s heat resistant and can handle moisture as well. It’s also strong enough to support up to 175 pounds which is a lot of weight for a little table. Seats do not come with this model however so you will need to get some separately.

Another great design is the portable picnic table that comes with its own bench seats that can easily seat up to six kids or four adults. You can move the seats to wherever you wish or use them without the table as they are completely separated from the structure. Everything folds up nice and flat and fits into a sturdy carry case. An aluminum top also makes cooking on them a possibility.

Your portable camping tables aren’t only a piece of camping equipment but they have uses around the home as well. They’re fairly affordable so you can easily have a couple in storage that you can bring out when a few of your friends come over with all of their kids. For years of service make sure you get a good quality model.

The Best Manhattan Districts

Posted by Rita Gomes on

Whether you are a resident or a visitor, everyone loves New York. The beauty and vibrancy are second to none, and Manhattan is everything you thought it would be, and so much more!

As a resident, the diversity of this fabulous borough is one of the things I love the most. I’ve been out and about and seen as much as I can, but so wish I had the time to completely immerse myself in the wonders of this city, but sadly it’s just too big.

Let’s leave the negatives behind and focus on the best that Manhattan has to offer. These are just a few of my personal recommendation for you to check out next time you come to take a bite out if the big apple.

My first stop is the fabulous East Village. I visit this area regularly for the great bars and restaurants, try them out yourself.

In only 1 square mile, you will find more choices of shopping, places to eat, bars etc than you could ever imagine. Extremely popular with those in their 20′s and 30′s; the East Village seamlessly flows into the area known as the Lower East side, and the two are very alike.

Patrons with more maturity tend to congregate in the coffee bars that are set amongst the trees on the sidewalks of the West Village. Chic clothes boutiques attract a classy clientele, yet the area retains the vibrancy that New York is famous for.

If Bohemia isn’t your style and you want to spend some time at one with nature, then head for the Upper West Side. This area is home to the world famous Central Park, a beautiful place to relax for a few hours and watch the world go by.

These areas are just a few of my favorites, and I hope I’ve whetted your appetite as to what Manhattan has to offer. I’m going to leave now because trust me; I could go on for hours!

This writer additionally often shares knowledge about things including full sized bunk beds and the full size platform bed.
